What are the general requirements to work at Amazon?
To work as a warehouse associate in Germany, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a valid work and residence permit in Germany (if you're not an EU citizen)
- Understand and follow instructions
- Be physically fit for warehouse tasks (standing, walking, lifting up to 15 kg)*
- Be punctual, reliable, and a team player
*Note: Amazon XL Warehouses require associates to be able to lift up to 23kg independently and 45kg with team assistance
What are the required documents to work at Amazon?
To work at Amazon in Germany, please prepare the following documents:
- Passport or identity card
- Visa/work permit (if necessary)

I worked before at Amazon. When can I apply again at the same warehouse?
You may reapply depending on your rehire eligibility.
If your status is under review it will show as "Rehire Check Pending" in your profile.

Roles and Shifts
How can I change my shift / availability?
You cannot change your shift or availability yourself in the system. Please contact us to request an update. Our team will provide guidance and update your application if possible.
How can I find out which shifts are available?
Shift options depend on the site and current demand. To find out which shifts are currently available, please contact us.
What type of work contract will I have? When will my contract end?
Contract types and end dates vary depending on the role and location. Please refer to the job description in your application profile for details. If you still have questions after reviewing, feel free to contact us.
Are mini-jobs or part-time jobs available at Amazon?
Amazon does not offer mini jobs, and part-time availability depends on the location and current needs. To find out if part-time roles are currently open, please contact us.
Does Amazon offer internships (training) for students?

How do I reset my PIN/password for my jobs account?
To reset your personal PIN/password, go to jobs.amazon.de/app#forgotPin. Type the email address you used when you made your account and click "Next."
You will get an email with a verification code. Copy and paste the code into the first empty space. Choose a new 6-digit PIN that you can remember and type it into the next two blank spaces. Click "Update."

What if I forgot the email address or phone number I used to create my account?
To log into your account or reset your PIN/password, you need to know the email address and the phone number you used when you set up your account.

How can I confirm or edit information in my profile?
You can sign into your profile to confirm or change your information at any time.

What if I received an email that I have multiple applications?
Only one active application is allowed per role/location. Log in to your profile, go to "My Applications," and withdraw duplicates by clicking "Withdraw."

How can I apply to work at Amazon?
The Hiring Process page outlines every step from job search to your first day, ensuring you know exactly what to expect during your journey to joining our team.

How do I check the status of my application?
You can check the status of your application by following these steps:
- Log in to your account.
- Click on the menu icon in the top left-hand corner, or on "My Account" in the top right-hand corner.
- Click on "My Applications" from the dropdown menu.
- You will see the status of your application under each job.
Why was my application withdrawn by Amazon?
Applications may be withdrawn if:
- They were incomplete
- No appointment was scheduled in time
- Required documents were missing
If the position is still open, you can reapply.
Why is my application on hold?
We need some additional documents before we can proceed. You'll receive an email explaining exactly what is needed and how to provide it — either by uploading online or attending an pre-hire appointment. Please check your inbox, including spam
What is a pre-hire appointment?
A pre-hire appointment is your onsite Assessment and Contract Signature Appointment, where you complete a short assessment, verify your identity, and sign your employment contract. You'll receive an email invitation once a slot is available. Plan for the appointment to take about 1.5 hours.
When can I start working after submitting an application?
You can start working once you have finished the following tasks:
- Complete all application steps and submit all required documents
- Schedule and attend your pre-hire appointment
You will receive your start date by email depending on availability at your chosen site.
I have received my missing documents. What is the next step?

Do I need a CV?
No. Amazon no longer asks for CVs during the application process for warehouse roles.
Do I need to interview?
Our hiring process for most warehouse hourly roles does not include an interview!
When can I sign the contract?
For warehouse hourly roles, if you are offered a job you will sign your contract during the pre-hire appointment (Assessment and Contract Signature Appointment).

When will I be able to schedule a pre-hire appointment?
Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email notification inviting you to schedule your pre-hire appointment.

How do I schedule my pre-hire appointment?
A pre-hire appointment is your initial appointment after you have applied.
- Ensure you have uploaded your documents to the EDM portal. You will receive an automated email from the EDM system after your application has been submitted.
- Log into your account.
- Click on "My Account" in the navigation bar, then select "My Applications."
- Find your active application card.
- Click on "Schedule pre-hire appointment" to pick from available hiring appointments.

- Select "Reschedule" to view available time slots, or "Cancel" to cancel your appointment.
If rescheduling, choose a new available appointment time that works with your preferred shift and start date.

The hourly wage is listed in the job description of the position you applied for. If you have already applied:
